Welcome to PharmASEAN

Vast  resources have been spent on programs that focus on reducing the scourge of AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria and other life-threatening illnesses in SE Asia. This has significantly increased availability and access to lifesaving medicines in many countries in the region.

Despite this, skills remain limited on quantifying needs for medications in areas such as  ordering and receiving,  storing medications appropriately, recording medication inventories accurately, distributing medications for use appropriately, and advising patients on how to use medications. Ensuring quality and keeping costs down is of critical importance in order to ensure program sustainability.

Successful organizations address the shortage of pharmaceutical management skills by focusing on activities that direct resources where they are needed most. PharmASEAN conducts assessments of pharmaceutical supply management systems by developing and implementing effective skills-building programs for pharmaceutical supply chain management. The results are lower costs and improved quality while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Our mission is to assist organizations in their assessment of the pharmaceutical needs of underprivileged populations in ASEAN countries with the goal of developing efficient strategies for supplying essential medications where they are most needed.
